This Masterclass goes through how to introduce a new selection, such as Cantaloupe Island, to the piano, bass, and drums (guitar can be included). It details how to identify a reference recording, reading along with the written music to assist in understanding the recording, identify the form and salient parts of the recording, and working on the mechanics of each rhythm section part.
